Your morning begins at a hip independent cafe where you'll enjoy a delicious breakfast and locally roasted coffee while getting to know your guide. From there, you'll descend into Panama City's modern metro system for an authentic local transportation experience that most tourists never get to see. Emerging from the metro, you'll stroll down Avenida Central, the only pedestrian street in Panama City. This bustling avenue offers a glimpse into everyday Panamanian life with its shops, street vendors, and local characters. The highlight of the experience is an urban jungle hike where nature meets the city. As you ascend the trail, keep your eyes peeled for incredible wildlife including sloths hanging lazily in the trees and colorful toucans flying overhead. The moderate hike is suitable for beginners and your guide sets the pace according to your comfort level. At the summit, you'll be rewarded with breathtaking 360-degree views encompassing the modern skyline of skyscrapers, the Pacific Ocean, and the famous Panama Canal. I loved my tour! Joey let me know he had a family emergency and that I’d be in good hands with his partner Giovanni. And he did not disappoint! The cafe we had breakfast at was delicious! We were able to get to know each other while he showed me around Panama, through the city and to the hiking trail. Giovanni was so knowledgeable on Panama’s history and culture. He’s such a pure and kind hearted person. If you have the opportunity to get either or both of them as your guides for this experience you’re in amazing hands. I’ll be spreading the word about this experience! Hope to see them again when I return to Panama!
