About this experience

Escape to paradise on this unforgettable full-day snorkeling expedition to Panama's San Blas Islands (Guna Yala). This archipelago of 365 islands offers some of the most pristine snorkeling in the Caribbean, with crystal-clear turquoise waters, vibrant coral reefs, and abundant marine life. Your adventure begins with early morning hotel pickup in Panama City, followed by a scenic 2.5-hour drive through the mountains to the Guna Yala territory. Along the way, you'll witness stunning views of the rainforest and learn about the autonomous Guna indigenous community. Upon arrival at the coast, board a traditional wooden boat for the 20-minute ride to your first island paradise. Our experienced guides will lead you to the best snorkeling spots, where you'll swim among colorful tropical fish, sea stars, and healthy coral formations. Visit 2-3 pristine islands throughout the day, each offering unique beauty - from palm-fringed beaches to shallow sandbars perfect for photos. Enjoy a fresh seafood lunch prepared by local Guna hosts, featuring the catch of the day, coconut rice, and fresh tropical fruits. This tour supports the local Guna community through direct employment and fair tourism practices. You'll have the opportunity to meet local families, learn about their culture, and purchase authentic Guna molas (traditional textile art). Whether you're an experienced snorkeler or a first-timer, our guides ensure a safe and memorable experience. All equipment is provided, and our small group sizes (max 12 guests) guarantee personalized attention.

Absolutely magical! The islands are even more beautiful than the photos. Our guide Carlos was incredibly knowledgeable about the coral and fish species. The fresh fish lunch was the best I've had in my life. Worth every penny!

The highlight of our Panama trip! Crystal clear water, colorful fish, and the most hospitable local people. The early wake-up is totally worth it. Pro tip: bring reef-safe sunscreen and cash for the beautiful molas!

Increible experiencia! The snorkeling at the shipwreck was unforgettable - we saw a stingray, starfish, and so many colorful fish. Great for families - my kids (8 and 10) loved every minute.

Beautiful islands and great snorkeling! The only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is the long drive (2.5 hours each way), but it's totally understandable given the remote location. The scenery on the drive is also gorgeous.

This tour exceeded all expectations. The Guna people were so welcoming, and learning about their culture added depth to the experience. The water visibility was incredible - easily 50+ feet. Highly recommend!
