Your host Martha is a dancer and founder of Salsa Safari with over 20 years of teaching and performing experience. Her training in Havana, Cuba, shaped her soulful, fun, and authentic approach to teaching salsa. Whether you have two left feet or some dance experience, Martha and her team create a welcoming environment where everyone can learn and have fun. Begin at the vibrant Salsa Safari studio where you'll feel the rhythm of classic salsa music. The instructors break down the basic steps in an easy-to-follow way, building your confidence as you progress. Sangria and good vibes help you loosen up and embrace the dance. After your lesson, stroll through the charming cobblestone streets of Casco Viejo as your hosts share stories about this UNESCO World Heritage neighborhood. My partner and I enjoyed this experience! We lucked out and were the only ones that booked the night we went so it felt more intimate/personal! The dance instructor was very nice, accommodating and enthusiastic! After our lesson, we went to dinner with Omar at a restaurant I happened to have on my list of places I wanted to try! There was live music and rhe ceviche was amazing! I'd definitely recommend this experience!

My girlfriend and I had an amazing time learning salsa at Martha’s studio. They really personalized the class to our skill and level and we progressed through the foundations and had lots of time to dance and freestyle together. The music was amazing and we were given lots of sangria as well which definitely helped us let loose! Would definitely recommend to anyone in Casco Viejo looking for a fun night out!

Our lesson was so fun! After the lesson, we were able to order a drink and food, then we got a couple more songs to practice with the two awesome instructors. The only things I’d ask for more clarity on are 1) the meeting spot. It took us a bit to find the studio and once we did, we found the group walking to the restaurant where we’d be having the lesson. I was wondering why we didn’t just meet at the restaurant?? 2) I was under the impression that we’d have an opportunity to dance at an actual club/social dance. That wasn’t the case and may have been me not reading closely enough. Other than that, the instructors are fantastic and everyone had an amazing time! Great laughs and conversation (during dinner). Martha is a creative entrepreneur who loves to support local businesses and professionals!

I opted for the salsa and dinner package, and it was a delightful experience. The instructor was not only skilled but incredibly kind and patient. From the moment I arrived, Martha, the owner, welcomed me with charm and warmth, instantly making me feel like I was amongst old friends.
