Experience the best of Panama's natural beauty on this fishing and wildlife adventure on historic Gatun Lake. Fish for the famous Peacock Bass while exploring the peaceful waters that form a crucial part of the Panama Canal. Your captain Miguel Antonio is ACP-certified (Panama Canal Authority) for security and transportation in the Gamboa and Gatun Lake area. With over 10 years of experience, he knows every fishing spot, wildlife habitat, and secret corner of this incredible waterway. Born and raised in a fishing town, Miguel brings authentic local knowledge and passion to every trip. The adventure begins at 7 AM at Gamboa Public dock. Fish with live baits and troll your way through different spots as Miguel guides you to where the Peacock Bass are biting. Between fishing, visit Monkey Island where capuchin and howler monkeys come right down to the boat. Feed them bananas and capture amazing photos of these playful creatures in their natural habitat. As you explore the lake, watch massive cargo ships transit through the Panama Canal locks. The combination of world-class fishing, incredible wildlife, and the engineering marvel of the canal creates an unforgettable experience. Maximum 4 guests ensures personalized attention and the best fishing spots. Minimum 2 persons required.

It was a fun experience. The boat stopped at a couple of islands on the way out to visit and feed two different types of monkeys. The monkeys come down to the boat and it was a unique experience to feed them. I caught a small fish and later a bigger peacock bass but it jumped when it got near the boat and came off. On the way back the big ships started to transit the canal so it was another unique experience to see. Miguel was a great guide, highly recommended. All in all great experience!

Experience was well worth the money compared to other vendors. We unfortunately didn’t catch any fish, but Miguel sure tried to make that happen. Experience at monkey island was great. We would’ve preferred to be out fishing earlier and visiting with the monkeys later… Very kind and professional, you can’t go wrong with Miguel.

Miguel was a great captain and took us all over the canal and Lago Gatún. This is the type of experience where you have fun regardless of how much fish you catch due to the wildlife and the beauty of the place, although we still caught 10-15 fish. Highly recommend.
