About this experience

Start your morning with an unforgettable adventure combining nature, wildlife, culture, and cuisine on this unique Panama City experience. Cerro Ancon (Ancon Hill) rises 199 meters above Panama City, offering the best panoramic views of the skyline, the Panama Canal, and the Bridge of the Americas. This forested hill in the heart of the city is a protected natural area and home to remarkable wildlife including sloths, toucans, agoutis, and numerous tropical bird species. Your adventure begins early to catch the cooler morning temperatures and the best wildlife activity. Meet your knowledgeable local guide at the entrance to Mi Pueblito, where you will receive water and a briefing before beginning your ascent through lush tropical rainforest. As you hike the well-maintained trail to the summit, your guide points out wildlife along the way. Keep your camera ready for sloths hanging in the trees, colorful toucans, and other tropical creatures. At the top, take in breathtaking 360-degree views of Panama City, the Pacific Ocean, and the famous canal. After descending, explore Mi Pueblito, a unique cultural park featuring three reconstructed traditional villages representing Panama's diverse heritage: the Interiorano village showcasing rural Panamanian life, the Indigenous village highlighting native cultures, and the Afro-Antillean village celebrating the Caribbean influence on Panama. The experience concludes with a delicious traditional Panamanian breakfast served in the charming Afro-Antillean village, the perfect reward after your morning hike.
